Hey, sorry I haven't been on for a while.
Check out these books:
The Kane Chronicles (by Rick Riordan)
Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling)
and, a tried and true favorite,
the Lord of the Rings trilogy, by J.R.R. Tolkein.
I was surprised by the similarities between Harry Potter and LOTR.
It's a bit of a tricky read, but very good.
